The Valkyrie was the first model I painted after I started using my Samtian 60cm Lightbox, I hope it shows! All the lighting and backgrounds on the previous models were a bit random and hit and miss!

• Paint 5 Vehicles
• Play A Game Of 40K

Pile of Shame Promise

Once we got into the year a bit more and I had more hobby time – I decided to clear my Pile of Shame. So I guess this is a Hobby Goal, but I did not set out with this goal at the start of the year. Although I suppose we are always trying to clear our Pile of Shame in one way or another? So how has that gone…

You can see my Pile of Shame on Pile of Potential. I started the year with 0% of my models done, I did not actually start tracking my progress on this mammoth task until March 19th of this year.

By July 2nd, halfway through the year, I had done 7% of my total models.

And now we are at the end of the year I am on 21% done. I just completed my 300th day on a Hobby Streak too!

Play A Game Of 40K

I did it! I have my first game of 40K for 6 months on April 29th against Necrons. A loss, but a fun game! And it was nice to try out the Drills finally along with the Tarantula Batteries.

Hobby Goals For 2022

Well, this is a tough thing to think about! Who knows what 2022 will hold for us in terms of time at home or time away from home. But I shall have a stab at putting something down to work towards in 2022;

• Complete the Gorgon
• Complete the Crassus
• Paint all my Bullgryns – 16+
• Complete my Valhallan Regiment – 60+ infantry and 6 Chimeras
• Try to do 10 Cadian Infantry between other projects to grind through those

I am also taking part in a year-long Warhammer 40K League in 2022. And for this, I will need a lot of Cadians for by April….
