300 Days on a Hobby Streak

I was going to leave this one longer, but posting this every 100 days consistently gives me the same goal to get to each time and allows me to review each hobby streak like for like.

I did a lot of Cadian vehicles during the last streak and I wanted to change that for this streak. I wanted to do infantry to really put a dent in my backlog of models. Vehicles are nice but it’s not really getting through the grind of models I have to do.

With this in mind my goal for this streak is to paint;

• 40 infantry models, this includes Ratlings
• A vehicle
• 2 HQ character type models

If I can achieve this, that’ll be nearly 15% of my remaining models done! That feels like a proper chunk of progress!

So how did I do…

Completed Models During the Last 100 Days

• 13x Ratlings plus Rein and Raus
• Trojan
• Aegis Defence Line
• 3x Extra Hellhound Turrets
• Imperial Defence Line
• Inquisitor Coteaz
• 3x Astropaths
• Inquisitor Psyker
• Priest
• 2x Leman Russ Tanks
• Another Priest

A total of 28 models.

Hobby Goals Reviewed

• I got 13 Ratlings done – so not the 40 I wanted to do, I would have got more done but I ran out of heads to build and complete my batch of 20 Valhallans, so they will be done during the start of 2022
• I got the Trojan built and painted, which is my vehicle, plus two already built Leman Russ from eBay
• Coteaz, Rein and Raus are done, that is three HQ type models
• Then all those Psykers and Preist which are HQ/Elite style models

I also attended a 1 day, 3 game event!

What Is Next?

I actually enjoyed doing all the infantry models during this streak and so I want to continue with that and get more done.

Doing the 100s of infantry models I have is the hardest thing to conquer in my Pile of Potential, so getting through them feels good.

So over the next 100 days on a hobby streak, I want to;

• Paint 60 infantry models, that is 4 models a week on average :-/
• 3 HQ style models
• Void Shield Generator
• A Cadian vehicle
• A non-Cadian vehicle
