Astra Militarum Commission Painting – Proteus Bunker

I am now taking on Astra Militarum Commission Painting work!

Approximate Reading Time: 4 minutes

Hello readers! I have something pretty big to tell you about today – I’ve started taking on Astra Militarum Commission Painting jobs! The effects of lockdown and the way I have been working have made me rethink what I want to be doing with my days. I love painting Astra Militarum models and I wanted to do it more often and

Never miss an article?

I use the term Astra Militarum somewhat loosely as I’d also do;

  • Inquisition
  • Adeptus Minitorim
  • Assassins

Just about anything that is used for Astra Militarum forces. I am also open to doing other forces too, depending on the scheme. Just ask!

You can enquire via my Protus Bunker web site or via the usual social media channels; Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. If you frequent my blog at all then you should be familiar with my work – if not then check out the Proteus Bunker web site or the 100% completed tag on this blog. The 100% completed tag contains all the models I have recently completed, and usually, a breakdown of what was done to complete the model.

If you are interested then please do get in touch so we can chat about what I can do for you, for your army and ultimately for the Emperor, beloved by all.

I offer three services, building, painting and basing. Pick and chose as you wish? Already built your models? No problem, ship them to me. Want to base them yourself to match your existing basing? No problem!

Build, Paint and Base.

I can build your models to a high standard so they appear as the original sculptor intended on the battlefield – no gaps, no mould lines and barrels drilled. I will paint your models to a better than tabletop standard so that they stand out on the battlefield and look like the real mean machines that they are. I can, if you wish, base your models so they appear as the glorious heroes that they are on the battlefield, steadfast and resilient, even amongst the chaos of battle.

Let’s get Creative

My current project for a client is a desert-themed Baneblade with a tan and dark red splinter pattern. I am very excited about this project, watch out on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook for updates soon.

This project is not to match an existing army, it’s a new scheme for the client that I have been given creative freedom to do as I please to give them a superb model. So, if you wanting to start a new Astra Militarum army (or start a new Astra Militarum regiment) and you have no idea what to do. Then get in touch and maybe I can start this new force for you.

Sharing the Process

Every model I paint as a commission piece will be written up and blogged about on Cadian Shock. Just like I do now for my own models. Unless the client does not want this.

This means other people can learn the paint scheme and do it themselves. It also means that as a client you can go away and continue the force as you wish, without being tired into my paint scheme and the secret blend of 5 paints I used to achieve that perfect beige for a Guardsman’s clothing.

You are free to go and add to your force as you see fit.
